Ever since he started it's gotten more dangerous than ever!  The police should just have an office there they have to show up so often.
Instead of dressing up in nice suits and flashing his perly whites at everyone and lots of trips away how about doing something about people getting hurt??

Yes, Mr. Nelson is somewhat of a poster boy, isn't he? I as a former patient recognized how superficial Mr. Nelson is pretty quickly after he joined the administrative staff there at ASH; and I heard you guys (staff) voicing your concerns about his less than democratic alterations of policies that directly relate to the safety of both staff and patients alike. You may or may not recognize me, but I am today dedicated to reforming the dismal conditions at ASH as matter of appreciation for the good people (staff) at ASH as well as out of concern for my former peers there, all of whom deserve the highest quality healthcare available today as per commonly recognized standards of medical-mental practices and care. My concern is for the patients who are being reintergrated into society from the ACPTC part of ASH. There are those who are being punished because of someone elses actions by Mr Nelson. He has crossed a fine line by bounds with this punitive action. This is a treatment center not punishment for these men. You do not make someone go out in full shackles for 3 que exposure outings and not have that considered punitive. The worst part is ASH gets away with this illegal activity claiming "treatment purposes" Once that "treatment purpose" is used the state hired attorney's don't do a damn thing. There has to be something done to stop Mr. Nelson's use of extreme punishments for these men.

Yikes! How I missed this when it was published here over 3 months ago, I cannot easily explain, but yes, absolutely, there is a clearly punitive style of attitude exercised by ASH physicians and administrators alike, as with one of my primary attending doctors there, circa late 2011, Dr. Pervaiz Akhter, who expressed disbelief, even confusion, over how to approach me as his patient, by stating this at our first meeting: "Are you really not a felon?" This interaction preceded an almost laughable sequence of substandard treatment that this particular doctor, a man originally haling form Afghanistan (hardly a center hub of democracy and human rights/decency), laughable but for the fact that all of the patients at ASH are among America's most vulnerable and marginalized persons, and rightfully protected by various state and federal mandates, including the Americans With Disabilities Act, the 8th Amendment of the US Constitution, and various other like law and policy. ASH's attorney, meanwhile, are not hired, they are appointed members of staff within The Arizona Office of the Attorney General, specifically in most cases flowing from ASH, Joel Rudd, who I contend has ben complicit in the long standing traditions at ASH specific to graphic abridgments of such law and policy, and he freaking knows it! All of the involved parties are state employees, that is a bottom-line you can rely on. So, yes, yes, yes, stay on i! Write your elected representatives, contact the federal Dept. of Justice and the Health and Human Services agency (all contact info is available on-line, just google them), cite my blog (The Arizona State Hospital and Patient Abuse), and so on. And do, please contact me via email anytime at all ([email protected]) and I will be happy to assist you however possible. I am not seeking any financial support whatsoever and there are no hitches whatsoever, I assure you of this. I am only seeing to formally address these issue and stop Cory Nelson and companies ongoing criminality, which they carry out at the direct expense of ASH patients and their loved families/loved ones, as well as the citizens of Arizona as a whole.

ASH - I have witnessed Abuses on Patients and Employees. This is perpetrated mainly By OLDER Employees - who have worked at ASH 5-20 years. These OLDER employees are only at ASH for a (1) Paycheck (2) They all making sure that they will receive Retirement Benefits after 10-20 years of service - this includes a portion >50% of their base Salary for the rest of their LIfe. In order to receive this Free Money -- These OLDER employees have to Discharge, ignore, and outright prevent PATIENT and EMPLOYEE COMPLAINTS against themselves by stating the Patient is Psychotic or the Employee is obviously NOT WORKING. and then get the Patient or Employee moved to another Less Desirable Unit - like Cottonwood. These Employees have Formed Personal Relationships with aggressive patients like MW - and then Direct Him using -- Codewords, Nonverbal Cues, and incentives like extra privileges or women (nurses bumping up on him) -- to attack certain Employees, Nurses, Techs, and YES OTHER PATIENTS. MW is Rewarded by these Nurses and Techs with extra privileges, food/snacks, and possibly even by over looking Drugs like Spice, Bath Salts, Crushed Medications, etc. the Older Employees LET come into the units. Lastle PATIENT COMPLAINTS are not taken seriously UNLESS its against a NEW Employee - The OLDER EMPLOYEES are trying to Rid of. These older employees have a little Gang and they all meet after work at certain places, homes, and bars. The policies of ASH and obviously the LAWS of the State of Arizona regarding patients and employment do not apply to them because they can just gang up on you and lie about it. They Confidentiality and HIPPA to act like they protecting your rights when they are really using confidentiality to cover up what they are doing. The Investigators at ASH are also on Salary and Will not blow the whistle in fear of getting fired. They won't eve investigate a legitimate Complaint -- They are only there to cover the complaint up and act like they looked into it. EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION -& NEPOTISM - They are hiring their cousins, relatives, and friends and setting them up with large Salaries -- job performance standards do not apply for these people. Many of these OLDER Employees are in their 50's and 60's and would not even pass a Physical Examination to do the Job. Most of these OLD EMPLOYEES are WHITE, Caucasians -- they are literally Rednecks -- Small Town FOlk - and then there are those who are light skinned ""Mexican and White"", and, then they hired a couple Blacks and Mexicans to make it all LOOK GOOD! The blacks and Mexicans are Expendable and have a very High Turnover Rate. The Older White Rednecks with their small town racist mentality always survive the CUT -- The only way they can survive cut is apply ASH policies in a racially biased manner AND Ignore and prevent any Complaints against them from PATIENTS. No compliants made against these people are taken seriously.

ONGOING: Mother blasts Arizona State Hospital over her son's death, plans to file a lawsuit. HAVE YOU ALL SEEN THIS ONE YET. INDEED, THE STAFF CUTS IMPLEMENTED BY CORY NELSON AS SOON AS HE ARRIVED AT ASH HAVE DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO YET ANOTHER ARIZONA CITIZEN'S DEATH. BOTTOM LINE. NOT ONLY STAFF, OF COURSE, BUT AS OF MORE IMPORTANTLY PATIENTS SUCH AS CHRIS BLACKMAN, ARE CURRENTLY AT DEEP RISK OF HARM CAUSED BY NELSONS BLATANT INEPTITUDE, WHICH IS OCCURRING WITH FULL SUPPORT OF ADHS DIRECTOR WILL HUMBLE, AND SO ON.
